Highly efficient against viruses and germs

youvee is based on a proven and highly effective disinfection method: using ultraviolet UV-C radiation. It breaks down the RNA/DNA of viruses within seconds, making them harmless. Powerful UV-C fluorescent tubes combined with a highly efficient UV-C radiation reflector ensures 99,9% of all viruses are eliminated, including all types of Coronavirus. Simultaneously, youvee's design ensures that UV-C radiation is contained, keeping everyone in the room safe. Apart from viruses, germs, bacterias and spores are also effectively eliminated. 

Effective airflow

youvee uses the natural air flow in the room to clean contaminated air. But how? Exhaled air rises to the ceiling, where it is captured, cleaned and - unlike other air purifiers – distributed from the ground up. This process ensures all airborne viruses are killed and are no longer a threat to people in the room.

The youvee flow methodology helps to minimize the dwell time of virus-contaminated air around the facial area. This unique flow concept is patented and is offered exclusively by youvee.

UV-C radiation

UV-C radiation and the Coronavirus
Since the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic, numerous researchers in the fields of medical technology and virology have measured how much UV-C energy is needed to neutralize the virus.

According to the Medical Engineering and Mechatronics at the University of Ulm, the most conservative value to deactivate 90% of all coronaviruses is 0.66 milli joules of UV-C energy per square centimeter (4.26 milli joules/square inch). From this value, it can be extrapolated that 1.98mJ/cm² (12.77mJ/SQ IN) would be required to deactivate 99.99% of the coronaviruses aerosols.

How much UVC energy does youvee produce?
The UV-C radiant power developed inside the youvee has been determined using computer calculation programs. At maximum volume flow, the dwell time of viruses in the UV-C radiation zone is 0.17 seconds. Coronaviruses absorb an energy quantity in the area-related average of more than 4mJ/cm2 (25.8mJ/SQ IN). This is twice as much as it would be necessary to neutralize 99.99% of all types of Coronaviruses.

Volume 

The youvee sound level correlates with the setting intensity. This allows you to adjust the sound level based on the particular environment in which the youvee is located.


Integrated CO2 sensor

Studies show that an adequate CO2 level in a room should be below 1000ppm to avoid fatigue, headaches and optimise the ability to focus. This is why youvee has an integrated CO2 sensor that tells when levels are too high and actions need to be taken, such as opening windows and increasing air circulation in the room.

The integrated CO2 sensor gives signals (via app or browser interface the CO2 concentration in ppm) as well as a visual indication on the device via the LED display when the limit value (1000ppm) is exceeded. An automatic mode is also possible, which adapts the youvee performance to the number of people in the room.

No maintenance

youvee air purifiers do not use filters and therefore need no maintenance. Consequently, there are no maintenance costs and no potential risk of infection when replacing the filter.

Low operating costs

The use of highly efficient fan motors and UV-C radiation tubes reduces power consumption to a minimum. A change of the lamps is necessary approximately every 8,000 operating hours (2.5 years). The costs for the UV lamps are around £10 per device and year. In this performance class, the operating and maintenance costs of comparable filter devices amount to up to £1,000 per device and year.
